Railroad Crossing documents history and railroading through blog posts, pictures, and articles specifically focused around Eastern Nebraska and the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Metro area in Minnesota. Primary railroads focused on include Northern Pacific and its predecessors, Union Pacific, Chicago and Northwestern, Burlington Northern, Canadian Pacific, and Minnesota Commercial. Railroad lines in Nebraska include the UP Transcontinental Route, BNSF Sioux Sub Division, CNW Blair to Fremont, Fremont to Norfolk, and Fremont to Lincoln lines. In Minnesota my research focuses on Great Northern, Northern Pacific, and Canadian Pacific through Saint Paul as well as the Northern Pacific Skally and branch lines from Saint Paul to Duluth.
My primary purpose is to document the past and make it available to all through technology by posting articles, photos and videos of railroads and local historical interest.
I also have a photo gallery and wiki that help me catalog my railfanning experience. Expect to see somewhat frequent editorials in my blog (this site), a photo catalog of my sights (rrpics), and documentation of the history, places, and railroads that interest me (rrwiki).
